DBAL Is being intentional about understanding what our community needs and how we can help make a positive, LASTING impact through art. There are a few causes we gravitate to and organizations we aspire to partner with. Check out our plans below.
Adrian loves dogs and cats, like loooves them. He'll always stop to greet any dog or cat he sees before greeting their owner. Actually, "hey buddy," is how he greets all animals.
When the idea to design a pet gear line came up during a brainstorm sesh, Adrian gave a head-wagging yes. It's currently in the ideation stage of the product development process but once launched, a portion of the proceeds from pet gear sales will go directly to our local ASPCA in Miami who work diligently to protect our furry friends.
In Miami, the ASPCA is focused on creating a healthy community for cats and dogs by providing affordable basic and preventive veterinary care for underserved pet owners who face financial and logistical barriers to these crucial services. -ASPCA Miami
Did you ever notice how much art plays a role in our community spaces? Whether is adorned on a storefront, splashed on a campus wall, or blanketed over a park bench, it's pretty much everywhere - and with good reason. Art beautifies spaces. It's inviting. It tells stories of history and culture. It has to power to unite people and create change.
When thinking of how DBAL could contribute to the community, murals were the number one area of impact on the list. This is because we believe community murals can offer residents a sense of pride and belonging, especially for those who participate in painting them. Through participation, residents can pick up a new skill or uncover a talent for art and creation they didn't know they had.
Adrian has plans to host reoccurring public art projects across Miami-Dade to start. The goal is to expand nationally and internationally.
The idea is to partner with public schools and local nonprofit organizations that know the needs of their communities. They will guide us in finding locations to host mural beautification projects and recruit volunteers. DBAL will donate supplies, design templates, art projection and touch up.
