Hi, welcome. I'm glad you're here. I appreciate your curiosity and am happy to share some of myself with you. Let's start from the top.
I'm a born-and-raised Miamian and proud Cuban-American. If I could sum up my life in two words, I'd say baseball and art. Even though baseball took priority, I was always intrigued by art and had sporadic urges to create.
I've been expressing myself through art since I was in high school, mostly drawing and doodling. It wasn't until fairly recently that I began to explore more mediums and to take art more seriously.
My "aha" moment came with the creation of my art Instagram page.
For years, my friends and family have been telling me to showcase my art. I avoided putting myself out there because I'm shy by nature and considered myself an amateur, or not established enough to matter. However, my curiosity to see if my art resonated with people I didn't know began to overcome that self doubt.
To my humble surprise, it did. I started getting requests for custom pieces and was frequently asked for pricing by complete strangers. It was then that I realized my art fulfilled a need unique to the person requesting it.

How'd you come up with your style?
These are the questions I’m most often asked when collectors, clients, or passersby see my work. The truth is, I don’t know. It’s just what comes out. It’s instinctive, not really conscious. I like to think of it as a code, like my own unique set of hieroglyphics that represent intangible messages from my subconscious. I know that probably sounds hippy-dippy. It may not be the most satisfying answer but hey, it's the truth.
I once read that abstract art brings out the spirit of the theme rather than concentrating on the piece’s form like figurative art does, for example. That’s how I feel when I’m creating. It’s a kind of spiritual experience. I never start a piece thinking, “I gotta sell this so I’m going to do x,y,z.” Instead, it’s like a purging of pent up emotion and thoughts, like each piece is a page from my journal and you have the keys to unlock it. You can even keep a page if you connect to it.
I create art for a multitude of personal reasons - to learn, destress, express, explore - but I share my art with the hope that it connects with others.

When you observe my art, I hope the colors, textures, shapes and even energies it gives off make you feel something. Ideally, it would inspire you to tap into your own imagination and notice how your mind works. My art doesn't have to mean to you what it means to me, I just want it to make you think, hopefully positive or helpful thoughts.
